What is Pink Ribbon Good?

Pink Ribbon Good (PRG), formerly known as Pink Ribbon Girls, is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping individuals and families affected by breast and gynecological cancers. PRG has become an essential resource for those dealing with the emotional, physical, and everyday challenges created by cancer.

At the core of Pink Ribbon Good is the philosophy that “No one travels this world alone.” This ideology is reflected in the wide range of services they provide, which are all free of charge. PRG provides meaningful support in all aspects from meals for patients to transportation to appointments. This organization wants individuals affected by cancer to be able to focus on their health and healing.

Services and Programs Offered

  1. Transportation Assistance: Unfortunately, for many cancer patients, it can be difficult both logistically and financially to get to appointments or treatments. Pink Ribbon Good provides free transportation to appointments. This alleviates the stress of trying to figure out a ride while ensuring people still have access to the care they need.
  1. Meals: Trying to prepare a meal while undergoing treatment can be a daunting task. PRG offers fresh, healthy meals that provide proper nutrition to patients and their families. These meals can often be cooked in just minutes.
  1. Help Around the House: Much like cooking, cleaning the house can prove to be a struggle. Treatments can often leave people feeling physically drained, among other side effects. That’s why PRG provides services and items to help ease the workload around the house. They can offer cleaning services, all-natural cleaning products, or a lightweight vacuum.
  1. Peer Support: Feeling isolated and like you’re walking this road alone can be a common struggle for cancer patients. PRG believes that should not be the case. That’s why they offer in-person and virtual support groups. Emotional support and mindset can play a big role in the healing process.
  2. Information and Outreach: Pink Ribbon Good can also help educate individuals on wellness strategies. Not only that, but they provide plenty of educational resources and information to spread awareness for breast and gynecologic cancers.

A Caring Community

The services offered can truly make a difference in someone’s life, but PRG believes a supportive community also plays a big part. Pink Ribbon Good not only addresses the physical and emotional needs of those battling cancer, but it helps them navigate an incredibly difficult time with support and dignity.

For many individuals and their families, PRG isn’t just another service provider–it’s an organization that provides hope, help, and support. Pink Ribbon Good is a reminder that no matter where someone is in their treatment journey, they’ll never be alone in their fight.
