5 Best Pizza Joints in and Around Troy, OH
Trying to come to a decision when choosing what’s for dinner can be similar to pulling teeth. However, there’s one food just about everyone in Troy, OH can agree on: pizza! So where can you get the very best pizza in our hometown? It was a difficult list to narrow down, but we came up with our five favorite places to grab a slice right here in the neighborhood. Try any of them: you won’t be disappointed.
1. Al’s Pizza
Our first pick makes a great choice when you have an extra-large appetite because they serve up both lunch and dinner buffets. There’s also an all-you-can-eat salad bar open to keep you snacking on refreshing veggies.
Of course, the main event here is the pizza, and Al’s won’t let you down in that department. You can get it as big as 18 inches and packed with your choice of over a dozen premium-quality toppings.
2. Dunaway’s Beef and Ale
Though this place is first known as a fun pub, the pizza their kitchen serves up is right up there with the best pizzerias. They use fresh, locally-sourced ingredients to make their pies, and you can tell when you taste the flavor.
Get their ‘Garbage Truck’ pizza if you want it loaded with the works, or go for the veggie pizza to keep things lighter. Whichever you pick, their hot and spicy chicken wings make a perfect side.
3. Submarine House
Sure, the name already tells you that you’ll be able to find hearty sandwiches at this spot. But did you know the Submarine House also serves up delicious pizza? If you don’t believe us, try their House Pizza. You’ll get a pie topped with marinara, cheese, steak, pepperoni, Italian sausage, ham, and bacon.
Sound meaty enough for you? If you’re cutting back on carbs, any of their pizzas can also be made with a cauliflower crust.
4. Basil’s on Market
This place looks to reinvent some of your favorite comfort foods, and they didn’t leave pizza off of that list. Their gourmet pizzas each start with a mouth-watering crust, and we loved the sweet basil dressing that our Margherita pizza came topped with. If you’ve got a sweet tooth once you’ve finished your pie, give their authentic New York-style cheesecake a try for dessert.
5. Marion’s Pizza
Having been around the area for over 50 years, you know Marion’s Pizza is doing something right. You’ll get it as soon as you take your very first bite. If you’re feeling cheesy, go for the Marion’s Super Cheese pie. Make sure you’ve got the appetite for it though. They aren’t kidding around when they say this pie comes with a mound of cheese on top!
All of these places have a couple of things in common: delicious pizza, and terrific service. We don’t know much about pizza besides eating it, but we have the same standards for the service we provide our customers. Stop in at Dave Arbogast Ford to experience that service for yourself!
